A few Cleaning Tips to get you going in 2017

Its 2017 and of course a new year doesn’t change the fact were going to have to keep things clean.
Were pretty sure that’s always going to be a thing, so we’ve got some handy cleaning tips to help you get a good start.

In the Kitchen

Circle your way round when cleaning
Always begin cleaning your kitchen by starting on either side of the stove and then working your way around the room clockwise or counter-clockwise depending on which side you decided to start. The stove is generally the dirtiest area of the kitchen and because of this you don’t want it be the last thing you clean and end up spreading that dirt on to the surfaces you have already tackled.
(First, soak drip pans and knobs in warm soapy water. By the time you've worked your way around, they'll be easier to clean.)

Care for your oven
The oven is the heart of any kitchen and should be care for appropriately. Lining the bottom of your oven with non-stick oven liner is a great way to do this, it keeps the bottom of your oven clean and is very easy to clean its self with a paper towel and then can be put in the dishwasher and reused again and again.

In the Bathroom

Get those glass shower doors shiny

Get yourself a teaspoon of lemon oil and rub it on to the glass doors every 2 months to cause the water to bead up and then roll off.

Keep your shower curtain in shape

Keep attacking mold and mildew from your shower curtain by chucking it in the washer with a few towels, the towels will aid in scrubbing the curtain while in the washer and then simply hang back up to dry.

 In General

Corner to corner

When you are vacuuming a room always start at the farthest corner and then work towards the entrance of the room, use a slow repeating front to back motion in an overlapping sequence. When finished you shouldn’t see any footprints on the floor.

Lost and found
Great for any home but especially a family one;  you can use any container you like to create a space for any stray item found around the home and then when you do realise what it was for you will know where it will be.

Time yourself
You will be surprised how long it takes to do certain chores and timing yourself can actually make you less bothered about doing them in the future as you know they don’t actually take as long as you thought.
